It's not too early to register for Ride For the Feast 2009! This event encompasses 2 days and 140 miles of paved road biking from Rehoboth Beach, DE to Baltimore City. We provide you with complete support and one of the most rewarding experiences of your life. All event costs are underwritten so that 100% of the money you raise supports Moveable Feast’s programs. Crate & Barrel Event A Huge Success! Thank you to everyone who came out on December 5th to support us at our event at the new Crate & Barrel store in Towson Town Center. About 250 people came to shop, mingle, and sample hors d'oeuvres and cocktails donated by local restaurants. We were able to raise $15,000 from ticket sales, raffle tickets, and 10% of all purchases made that evening. It was a great way to kick off the holiday season! Special thanks to the Towson Crate & Barrel staff, and all of the local businesses that donated food and raffle prizes, for making this event a success. Moveable Feast Expands Services in Baltimore City Moveable Feast has recently secured three new contacts for service to provide nutritious meals to Jericho Project, Carrington House Transitional Housing Program and the emergency shelter for Baltimore City. This increases our weekly meal output in our kitchen by 2,940 meals! This is part of our commitment to using our resources for the good of the community, providing a needed service to our Baltimore neighbors, and identifying ways to supplement our revenue as the need for our services increases. |

Many of you reading this newsletter have made a difference in the lives of our clients by volunteering, making a donation, and getting involved with Moveable Feast. Thank you. To our current supporters, and to everyone reading this, please make a special year end gift to Moveable Feast. You can do it right online and it will make a difference to the people that we serve. Make a commitment to volunteer with Moveable Feast in 2009; we need your help. With the rising prices of everything these days, our purses are a lot more empty, what with $70 fill-ups at the pumps, weekly grocery bills that have increased by 20 percent or more and additional costs with our summer plans. Unfortunately, this type of purse-emptying does not make our hearts full.
